Trump Credits Tax Cuts, Deregulation for ‘Thriving’ Labor Market

President Donald Trump asserted that the current labor market revival is a direct result of his administration’s economic policies, particularly its deregulatory moves, even as regulatory analysts question how much rule-cutting has been done.

“Our whole country is thriving,” Trump said at a Dec. 16 meeting with Cabinet officials, governors, and local leaders on the topic of regulatory innovation. “Best job numbers, best unemployment numbers, and the best employment numbers too,” he said.
