Trump Taps Billy Long for IRS Chief
President-elect Donald Trump said Wednesday he intends to nominate former Rep. Billy Long (R-Mo.) as IRS commissioner, cutting short current chief Danny Werfel’s term.
In a post on his social network platform Truth Social, Trump called Long an “extremely hard worker, and respected by all, especially by those who know him in Congress.”
