Trump, Republicans Poised to Revamp OECD’s Global Tax Pact

The new Trump administration will have to make a decision about its role in the global tax pact: continue the work done by the Biden administration at the OECD, or change major parts of a deal that took years to negotiate.

The first Trump administration began work at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development on the international tax deal to try and put an end to digital taxes on US big tech companies like Google, Meta, and Amazon. But since then, the deal has morphed into a set of policies generally disliked by congressional Republicans.
