Trump Reverses Position on SALT

In the latest injection of taxes into the presidential campaign, GOP nominee Donald Trump has reversed himself on removing the deduction for state and local taxes.

The $10,000 cap on deducting SALT was imposed in the law Trump signed himself that some call the Trump tax cuts. Trump made the announcement in a social media post ahead of a rally in New York. Senate Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) derided the pitch as hypocritical.
