Trump Says He Plans to Sign Relief Orders by Saturday

President Trump tells reporters he expects to sign orders on pandemic relief Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.

  • NOTE: Before leaving the White House, Trump tweeted that he told his staff to continue working on an executive order covering a payroll tax cut, eviction protections, unemployment benefits and student-loan repayments
    • Earlier, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows said Trump was prepared to use executive authority to address some issues if a deal between the administration and lawmakers was still out of reach by the end of the week
