Turkey Gazettes Decision Amending Withholding Tax Rates for Capital Gains from Specified Investment Funds

The Turkish Official Gazette March 27 published Presidential Decision No. 11107, amending the withholding tax rates for capital gains from specified investment funds. The decision includes measures: 1) exempting capital gains arising from specified equity-intensive funds, venture capital investment funds, and real estate investment fund participation shares held for more than two years; and 2) setting a 17.5 percent withholding tax rate for capital gains arising from other investment fund participation shares.
