U.S. Suspends Exchange of Tax Information With Russia

The IRS has suspended the exchange of tax information with Russian tax authorities in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Treasury Department said Wednesday.

The suspension is aimed at putting added pressure on Russia and preventing it from deriving any benefits that access to tax information from the U.S. might bring it, Treasury said in a statement.
