Uber Cites Potential Damages in Shift of Delivery Fee Tax Suit

Uber Technologies Inc. says it’s facing a potential multi-million-dollar class action suit over taxes on delivery fees against its customers in Florida.

Removing a Florida state court lawsuit to federal court last week, the rideshare and delivery company told the Miami-based US District Court for the Southern District of Florida the amount in controversy for the case, with an estimated class size of greater than 100, likely tops $5 million.
