Uber Seeks to Block False Tax Form Claim With Arbitration Clause

Uber Technologies Inc. said a man can’t bring a proposed class action alleging the ride-share company willfully submitted fraudulent tax forms because he expressly agreed to bring any claims in arbitration.

Damian Josefsberg alleges Uber sent the IRS a fraudulent tax form reporting income he never earned as he never drove for the company.

Josefsberg must arbitrate his dispute individually because he agreed to Uber’s terms, the ride-share company told the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
