The Ugandan Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development Dec. 18, 2025, presented the financial year 2026-2027 National Budget Framework Paper. The budget includes measures to: 1) improve tax administration; 2) broaden the tax base; 3) ensure higher tax compliance and greater accountability for tax holidays; and 4) eliminate non-beneficial exemptions that don’t support the industrialization agenda.
