UN Wealth Tax Model Law May Be Hard to Apply, Groups Say

A wealth tax model law proposed by the UN could be hard to apply across countries and may not benefit jurisdictions, some advisers and groups have warned.

The UN’s Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters last month approved a plan proposed by a subcommittee to create a wealth tax model law, amid continued interest globally in the creation of new wealth taxes.
