The White House is calling for an end to US funding for international programs that may include the group negotiating the global tax deal, as part of a $9.4 billion request to claw back funding from foreign aid and public media.
The broader proposal, which has gotten pushback from some GOP lawmakers, seeks to rescind remaining funding appropriated for US contributions to international organizations.
“Enacting the rescission would eliminate unnecessary and currently unattributed funding, as the Administration continues to review participation in all other international organizations,” the justification for the rescission said.
