Utah Adds District Energy Systems as Qualifying High Cost Infrastructure Development Tax Credit Projects

The Utah Governor signed a law modifying the High Cost Infrastructure Development Tax Credit Act to include district energy systems. The law includes: 1) modifying provisions regarding heat corporations to address cooling plants; 2) adding district energy systems as qualifying energy delivery projects; and 3) establishing investment thresholds for district energy systems to qualify for high cost infrastructure tax credits.
