Utah Increases Used Oil Recycling Fee Under Amended Management Act

The Utah Governor signed a law that amends the Used Oil Management Act, to increase the recycling fee imposed on lubricating oil sales. The law doubles the fee from 4 cents to 8 cents per quart, to 16 cents to 32 cents per gallon, for the period of July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, after which the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control will establish new fees.
