The Utah State Tax Commission released revised guidance updating sales tax information for telecommunication (telecom) service providers. The information includes: 1) definitions of various telecom services; 2) clarification of the taxes and fees applied to telecom services; and 3) that the prepaid wireless 911 service charge rate is 3.13 percent, with the prepaid wireless telecom service charge of 1.2 percent, to reflect a combined rate of 4.33 percent.
