Vietnam Pushes for Tax Cuts on Fuel, Consumption

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai ordered the finance ministry to promptly look into cutting taxes and fees tied to petroleum and consumption, especially those that raise input costs of production and business.

  • Khai, in a statement posted on the government’s website, says tax cuts to also help control inflation and support monetary policy
  • He asks the finance ministry to report on the proposed tax cuts before July 30
