Vietnam Raises State Workers’ Base Pay by 30%

Vietnam increased the base salary of state workers to 2.34m dong ($91.96) a month from 1.8m dong effective July 1, according to a government website.

• Pension for retirees was also increased by 15%
• Also approved by the parliament was the extension of the 8% value-added tax rate until the end of this year
