Voluntary Disclosure Instructions to Come From IRS

The IRS is planning to provide further instructions on a form related to the voluntary disclosure of previously undisclosed taxable income.

The agency released Form 14457 in April, which taxpayers must fill out in order to participate in the IRS’s voluntary disclosure practice. Participating may enable individuals who willfully failed to comply with tax requirements to limit their exposure to criminal prosecution, according to the IRS website.
