The Washington Governor signed a law concerning the electric transmission system. The law includes providing that electric transmission facilities owned by the Washington Electric Transmission Authority are exempt from property tax under Revised Code of Washington Section 84.36.010, and that the authority must make payments in lieu of property taxes to counties in which such facilities are located. The law generally takes effect on June 11, except as otherwise provided. [S.B. 6355, enacted 03/30/26]
