Washington DOR Announces Tax Relief for Storm-Impacted Taxpayers in Different Languages

The Washington DOR announced tax relief for businesses and property owners in Cowlitz, Grays Harbor, King, Lewis, Pierce, Walla Walla, Whatcom, and Whitman counties affected by recent severe storms. The DOR stated that: 1) businesses unable to timely file and pay excise tax returns may request filing extensions or qualify for penalty waivers; 2) property owners may file a Destroyed Property form with their county assessor to adjust taxable property values for 2026 and potentially 2027 based on storm damage; and 3) impacted businesses may request relief including audit or hearing rescheduling, extension of expiring reseller permits, and credit applications ...
