Washington DOR Proposes Rule Regarding Tax on Tobacco Products

The Washington Department of Revenue (DOR) has proposed an expedited rule amendment to WAC 458-20-185 regarding tax on tobacco products. The proposed amendment incorporates ESSB 5814 which modifies the definition of tobacco products to include nicotine products, whether derived from tobacco or created synthetically, that are intended for human consumption or placement in the oral or nasal cavity.
