Washington Removes Tax Exemption for Warehousing Prescription Drugs

The Washington Governor signed a law removing a tax exemption for warehousing and reselling prescription drugs. The law includes a 0.5 percent tax rate on warehousing and reselling prescription drugs, effective in 2027, and a preferential 0.138 percent tax rate for qualifying critical access pharmacies.
