Waste Management Sues Over Delayed FOIA for Its 2017 Tax Records

Waste Management Inc. is asking a court to force the IRS to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request over its tax assessments.

Waste Management said July 3 in a complaint at the US District Court for the District of Columbia that it was seeking files in connection with an IRS examination of its tax returns from 2017 as well as a proposed adjustment to the taxable income for the year that the company is appealing.
