Ways and Means GOP Gears Up to Begin IRS Oversight, Hearings

IRS use of technology, the OECD’s global minimum tax and the agency’s treatment of conservative organizations are at the top of the agenda for Republicans now leading the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Oversight.

Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.), the chairman of the subcommittee, said in a phone interview he’s getting ready to start public hearings in coming months and plans to use a combination of fact-finding letters, roundtables, and investigations.
