West Virginia Eliminates Outdated Boards, Includes Income Tax Provision

The West Virginia Governor signed a law to eliminate numerous outdated or unnecessary boards, commissions, and districts by transferring their duties to other state agencies or eliminating them. The law also establishes a personal income tax deduction for contributions to trusts for children with autism made by Dec. 31, 2026. The law takes effect June 12. [H.B. 5364, enacted 03/27/26]
