A wind farm’s more than $10 million property tax break can be challenged by its neighbors because their injury can be traced to a state tax official, the neighboring landowners told the Texas Supreme Court.
Philip Green and Zack Wilks asked Texas’ top court to review a ruling that the pair lacked standing to challenge the tax break, which is aimed at incentivizing property development that creates jobs. Green and Wilks said having a wind farm adjacent to their property diminishes its value.
