Wind Farm Tax Break Challenge Tossed by Texas Appeals Court (1)

A Texas resident’s challenge to a more than $10 million tax break for a wind farm neighboring her property lacks standing to sue the state tax authority for her alleged injuries, the Texas Court of Appeals ruled Friday.

Suzonne Franks’ alleged injuries—misuse of taxpayer money and diminshed property value—aren’t traceable to Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Glenn Hegar, the court held, dismissing her case.
