Wyoming Enacts Severance Tax Exemption for Tertiary Oil Production

The Wyoming Governor signed a law that provides a five-year severance tax exemption for tertiary oil production, from projects certified by the Wyoming oil and gas conservation commission between July 1, 2026 and July 1, 2031. The law requires annual reporting on qualifying production, including details on production amounts, qualifying operators, tax impacts, and related ad valorem and sales taxes.
