ABC, Disney Score Enhanced Interest Rate From Oregon Tax Court

ABC Inc., parent Walt Disney Co., and a host of affiliates are entitled to a statutory higher rate of interest on their Oregon corporate income tax refund 61 days after a tax court ruling in their favor, the court ruled.

The companies and Oregon Department of Revenue disputed whether a state law mandating an enhanced interest rate on delayed refunds was triggered by the Oregon Tax Court’s ruling or a final ruling in any subsequent appeal to the Oregon Supreme Court.
