Alaska Airlines Settles Military Leave Vacation Accrual Lawsuit

Alaska Airlines Inc. reached a class-wide settlement with pilots who said they were wrongly denied the chance to accrue vacation time while they were absent from work to serve in the military.

The proposed deal covers Alaska pilots who didn’t accrue vacation time while on periods of military leave lasting 31-60 days between October 2004 and March 2026. The parties plan to submit details of the deal for court approval within the next 45 days, according to a settlement notice filed Monday in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington.
