Alphabet Hit With Derivative Suits on Antitrust Allegations

Alphabet Inc.'s leadership allegedly allowed the company to engage in strategies that violate antitrust laws, according to a pair of shareholder derivative suits filed in federal court in California.

The shareholder allegations are based on the Google parent’s “prolonged and ongoing monopolistic and anticompetitive business practices,” one of the derivative complaints filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California said.
