Alvarez & Marsal Names New Managing Director for Investigations

Brett Kumm joined Alvarez & Marsal as a managing director in its investigations and compliance practice in San Francisco, the firm announced Tuesday.

Kumm brings more than 25 years of experience in complex internal investigations, forensic accounting, and white-collar crime matters. His track record includes advising boards, audit committees, and senior management teams on high-stakes matters involving the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice, the firm said.

He joins from FTI Consulting, where he was a senior managing director of the forensic and litigation practice. He previously spent nearly 20 years at Arthur Andersen and KPMG.
