NJ Top Cop Sues Amazon Over Delivery Driver Classification (1)

Amazon is misclassifying thousands of New Jersey “Flex” drivers who use their own vehicles to deliver packages, the state attorney general claimed in a state lawsuit filed Monday.

“Let’s not make any mistake about this: when a trillion-dollar company says it is providing you with ‘a flexible way of earning extra money on your own schedule,’ it is not offering this opportunity for your benefit. Amazon is looking out for itself,” Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin (D) said in a statement.
