AMD shares fell about 1% in postmarket trading after the company announced its Chief Accounting Officer Darla Smith resigned, effective Nov. 18.

  • Company says Smith’s resignation is not the result of any matter relating to its accounting practices or financial reporting
  • Philip Carter to replace Smith as accounting chief
  • Smith to stay on as corporate VP until Jan 17, 2025
