Baker Tilly Partner to Lead Private Company Accounting Panel

Baker Tilly Managing Partner Jere G. Shawver will serve as the new chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Board panel devoted to private company accounting concerns, FASB’s parent organization announced Friday.

Shawver, who is responsible for Baker Tilly’s assurance practice and risk management, will begin his three-year term leading FASB’s Private Company Council on Jan. 1, 2024, the Financial Accounting Foundation said.
