Bank of Greece Runs Audits of Debt Collectors Including Intrum

The Bank of Greece is running audits of debt collection companies operating in the country, including the Greek arm of Intrum AB, to ascertain they comply with local laws, a person familiar with the matter said.

So far Intrum and another company, Thea Artemis Financial Solutions, are under audit, said the person speaking under condition of anonymity. More companies are expected to face audits going forward, the person said, adding that the aim is to see whether they are fulfilling their obligations in line with legislation, the person added.
