BDO Closer to Topping U.K. Audit Market as Big Four Lose Clients

BDO LLP has become the second largest auditor of listed companies in the U.K., overtaking KPMG LLP as audit market reforms encourage companies to look beyond the Big Four.

BDO gained 16 new listed clients in the three months to May 13, according to a report Monday by Adviser Rankings Ltd. BDO with 297 listed companies is behind PwC, which lost 10 clients but retained the top spot with 326. KPMG fell to third place after losing 13 clients and dropping its total to 286.
