BDO Lifts ESG Strategy, Services to New Stand-Alone Practice

BDO USA LLP created a new executive post to oversee its sustainability goals and will combine related services under a single practice amid mounting demand from its middle-market clients, the firm said Tuesday.

The accounting and advisory firm tapped its former audit quality leader, Christopher Tower, to serve as BDO’s first strategy and services leader for environmental, social, and governance, or ESG, work. Tower takes on the newly minted role after serving as national managing partner for professional practice for the past five years.
