BDO Warns Inspection Violations Set to Rise, Pledges Reforms

BDO USA P.C. said Tuesday that its flawed audits flagged by US inspectors are set to rise again, in a preview of a pending 2023 regulatory review.

The firm, among the largest US auditors, also warned that a series of in-progress reforms to its assurance practice won’t quickly reverse that trend.

BDO has struggled in recent years to improve its compliance with US standards for vetting corporate financial statements.
