The increasing workload of the US Supreme Court’s so-called shadow docket has had a substantial impact on the federal government’s top lawyers at the high court.
It’s one of the “biggest shifts” in the court’s work, US Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar said at an ABA panel on Thursday. The Solicitor General’s Office handles all of the federal government’s cases at the Supreme Court.
