Big Four Accounting Firms Dominate Big UK Audits, All FTSE 100

A two-year effort by the U.K. government to break the dominance of the largest accounting firms has had little impact, with a report Monday showing that the Big Four now audit all of largest 100 companies on the London stock exchange.

The Big Four—Deloitte LLP, Ernst & Young LLP, KPMG LLP, and PwC, also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP—have a lock on the FTSE 100 after Grant Thornton LLP lost its sole audit client among that group, Darktrace Plc, Adviser Rankings Ltd. said in its latest report.
