Big Four Firms Win $49.3 Million in U.K. for Pandemic Advice

More than a third of the contracts to advise the U.K. government on its pandemic response have gone to the Big Four accounting firms, with PwC the single biggest winner, according to figures released Monday.

An analysis of government contracts awarded between April 6 and Aug. 26 found that 106 contracts worth a total 109 million pounds ($145 million) had been given for advice on how to respond to the pandemic, according to data provided to Bloomberg Tax by Tussell, a company that tracks public sector spending. The Big Four won 29 contracts totaling 37.1 million pounds ($49 million). ...
