CPA Exam Revamp Set for 2024, With New Questions on Technology

Accountants taking the CPA exam in 2024 will face a revamped test asking new questions about information systems and controls, privacy, and personal financial and tax planning, the two bodies that administer the test announced Wednesday.

The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy and the American Institute of CPAs outlined the final revamp after the two bodies issued a proposal in July. The changes are part of a years-long effort to overhaul the licensing exam to better reflect the technology and data skills needed in modern accounting.
