Deloitte Follows KPMG, EY, Accenture With Consulting Layoffs

Deloitte & Touche LLP will lay off a reported 1,200 US employees, largely in the firm’s advisory practice.

Cuts of that magnitude would represent about 1.5% of the firm’s workforce.

• “Our US businesses continue to experience strong client demand,” a Deloitte spokesperson said Friday. “As growth in select practices moderates, we are taking modest personnel actions where necessary.” The spokesperson did not confirm media reports on the exact number of layoffs.
