Deloitte LLP is aggressively expanding its U.K. legal team as it joins a global push to make the Big Four firm a big player in law.
“I don’t see any reasons why we shouldn’t be a major presence in the areas we choose,” Michael Castle, U.K. managing partner for Deloitte Legal, told Bloomberg Tax by phone.
Deloitte said Sept.10 it is launching programs to train as lawyers university graduates and students who passed A level exams but didn’t go on to university. It is using new legal qualifications that allow people to qualify as solicitors without attending law school. ...
