Deloitte UK on Tuesday announced that it had appointed a former government minister and a previous member of the Bank of England’s Financial Policy Committee as non-executive directors, amid ongoing efforts to strengthen its governance following a spate of audit scandals.
Former sports minister Hugh Robertson has already started as an independent non-executive at the firm, Deloitte said. Elisabeth Stheeman, formerly an external adviser to the Bank of England, will start in mid-May.
