EU Parliament Tax Chair Wants New Artificial Intelligence Levy

New technologies, including artificial intelligence, ought to be taxed across Europe, according to Pasquale Tridico, the representative who chairs the tax subcommittee in the European Parliament.

“Artificial intelligence is a source of income-generating output, like a worker, like capital, so that’s why it needs to taxed,” the Italian member of the European Parliament said on Wednesday.
