Ex-CEO of SAExploration Admits to Accounting Fraud Scheme

The former CEO of SAExploration Holdings Inc. pleaded guilty Friday to federal fraud charges, admitting that he tried to inflate his company’s revenue and stole from the company, federal prosecutors said.

Jeffrey Hastings pleaded to conspiracy to commit securities fraud for making false statements in annual and quarterly SEC filings and to the company’s auditors plus conspiracy to commit wire fraud. He faces up to five years in prison for each charge, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York said in a statement.
