A majority of companies would buy more audit and consulting services from EY if it split into two firms, according to the results of a survey published Wednesday.
Slightly over half of the nearly 4,000 companies surveyed by London-based Source Global Research said they would be more likely to buy both audit and advisory services from Ernst & Young LLP if it split into separate audit and consulting firms. The firm’s partners are to vote as soon as this year on whether to separate EY’s global consulting practice.
