EY, Deloitte, Accenture Face Questions at PwC Tax Leak Inquiry

A group of Big Four accounting firms and consulting companies will field questions this week about confidential agreements as part of a parliamentary inquiry into the PwC Australia tax leak scandal.

Senators will hear from Deloitte Australia, EY Australia, and Accenture during a two-day hearing starting Monday. The inquiry was launched after revelations that PwC Australia shared confidential tax information with clients it gained while advising the government.

McKinsey Australia has declined to attend and instead offered responses to questions from the inquiry.

Greens Senator Barbara Pocock, who led the initial call for an inquiry, found the firm’s decision troubling. ...
